Top Language Software Packages
There are many software packages on the market today. Many of them are similar and many of them simply are not what they claim to be. Few of them are affordable and even less of them make learning a new language fun and easy enough to allow you to involve yourself in the program long enough to see results.
Well, here is some good news: I ran across the Rocket Language learning programs and I find them to be just about the best packages for the money out there!
If you are in the market for language learning software packages, then you already have your next language picked out. If you are interested in three of the major romance languages then you are in luck! Rocket Languages offer Spanish, German, and French program packages that will get you results not only fairly fast, but more importantly, with ease and with results that will stay with you long term.

The Rocket programs utilize various methods and include proven language learning techniques. The packages use visual and audio aids to target your specific learning capabilities. Repetition and interaction with recordings of native speakers will fine tune your ears to hearing a new language while videos and written exercises prepare you to recognize and read text in your target language.
Both the German and French programs claim they will have you speaking your target language in eight weeks. They include a free six day class to give you a good test drive of the course. The Spanish course give itself a little more time claiming three months to get you speaking with confidence and they also offer a free six day course to get you started. I am not fully convinced getting results in the short time span that they claim, but I am convinced that their methods will yield results that are long term. (I have a upper novice knowledge of German and I signed up for the six day German classes and was extremely pleased!)
I will not say that these courses are cheap. They are $99.95 if you download them and they are $299.95 if you want hard copies. If you are getting these language classes for a school system or if you have funding to pay for the classes, then getting the hard copies would be the way to go. Paying almost one hundred dollars for the download may seem like a lot (and it is,) but given what the packages have to offer, it is not overly priced. Comparing these packages to some other well-known packages, the Rocket packages are half the price or less than these. Also, I found that the Rocket packages provide more instruction than the competition.

There are many other packages that I need to review, particularly Spanish language packages, but I think that most of them will not compare to the value of the Rocket packages. I will review more packages here in the near future and I will post if I find that there are other packages as valuable or if they are basically to be avoided.
